Apple issues fix for zero-day flaws used in spy attacks against Kaspersky. Patch now! • Graham Cluley

Russian cybersecurity company Kaspersky has been on the scene for only a few weeks. open We discovered that someone was exploiting a zero-day flaw in iOS to sneak spyware onto the iPhones of middle and senior executives.

Kaspersky called the attack. “Operation Triangulation”We explained how malware infects a device via a zero-click exploit in iMessage.

Now Apple has released a patch for: iOS, Mac OS and watchOS.

A previously unknown zero-click remote jailbreak exploit for iOS doesn’t come cheap. Anyone distributing this for Kaspersky must have significant technical resources or a significant budget to purchase details of exploitable flaws.

The obvious question is who is behind a sophisticated spyware attack on Russian security firm Kaspersky.
